Next training week in April 2019

The next training week will be organised by the Université Polytechnique Hauts de France and will take place at Maubeuge in early April 2019.

To get all the Early-Stage Researchers working on the project together, a Spring school will be organized in the North of France in April 2019. It will be an opportunity to assess the progress of the research programme and to ensure the project is well on track.

The programme will focus on:

  • Available rapid manufacturing and 3D prototyping technologies
  • Ceramic complex parts by SLM/SLS, an application to cast mould for foundry
  • Principle of the stereolithography, devices and influence on the final piece mechanical properties
  • Footprint of ceramic additive manufacturing in the economy

This training week will be followed by the opportunity to attend the young Ceramists Additive Manufacturing Forum (yCAM) in Mons (Belgium) that will start on 3rd April 2019. This forum is an event and networking platform organized by EMC and BCerS and supported by ECerS, dedicated to all young researchers interested in the Additive Manufacturing of ceramics. This will also be an opportunity for some ESRs to present their work and their first results to their peers.
